HAYDEN L KENNY, OAM

Hayden Kenny gained his Bronze Medallion in 1956 and went on to become one of the most outstanding competitors in Surf Sports in the Club’s history.

 

Hayden won several Gold Medals in Branch, State and Australian Championships, winning his first Open Ironman Championship of Australia in 1966.

 

He was involved in the establishment of the first dedicated helicopter service on the Sunshine Coast and carried out many rescues, both at Alexandra Headlands and other beaches on the Sunshine coast over the years. He was awarded Life Membership for his service in 1975.
