SKI ONLY COURSE
SKi - 8km
The Ski Course will be determined by the wind direction for the day of the event. Competitors will be informed of which course direction and event start location no later than 5pm Friday 23rd October.
Southerly
Starting at Kawana Surf Club from either a jump, Le Mans or deep water start (at the discretion of the starter depending on conditions) paddlers will head out to sea approx. 1km making a left hand turn and heading north to an orange turning can off Point Cartwright where competitors will make another left hand turn before paddling towards Alex Surf Club, paddlers must paddle between the 2 orange gate cans directly off Alex Surf Club leaving ski and paddle on the waters edge and finishing with a short run to the finish line central of the transition area.
Northerly
Starting at Mudjimba Surf Club from either a jump, Le Mans or deep water start (at the discretion of the starter depending on conditions) paddlers will head out on the northern side of and past Old Women before turning right around an orange can with Old Woman Island on your right hand side at all times. Competitors will then head south towards Alex Surf Club and make a right-hand turn between the two orange gate cans directly off Alex beach leaving ski and paddle on the waters edge and finishing with a short run to the finish line central of the transition area.
