Surf Girl Report - February

This last month has been a big one on the Surf Girl calendar. The first week of February I was lucky enough to be invited to attend the National Leadership College in Sydney. This program is run by SLSA as a 21-30 year old program for Surf Life Savers across Australia. I was incredibly proud to be selected alongside the other 22 participants. This was an experience like no other and I’m incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to represent Alex, Sunshine Coast Branch and SLSQ by attending.

We have also been very busy planning our next events celebrating 40 years of Women in Surf Life Saving with our Ladies Day Out and our Surf Fest happening within the first week of March. Both of these events will highlight the amazing contribution our women have made in the last 40 years and what we hope to achieve in the next.

As we come to the end of February, we only have a couple of months until the end of the season. I’d like to say a quick thanks to everyone to this point. We do have a very busy time coming up with both junior and senior State Titles, Easter long weekend and everything in between. I hope to see you all around at these events and in the final couple of months of my Surf Girl year.
