From and President and CEO - February 2020

We are getting to the pointy end of the season with State Youth and Senior Titles fast approaching with the good thing being at your home beach weather and conditions permitting.

Well done to our Nippers for topping the points at Branch, plus our beach team dominating the P3 Queensland Beach Series both wonderful results for Alex. We had some great performances in Surfing and Champion Lifesaver and Patrol Competition where we have a rich history but also well done to Noosa and Dicky Beach respectively for their wins in those hotly contested competitions.

Well done to Cooper Williams with a sold third in the Shannon Eckstein Classic, Tiarrn Raymond in her gutsy second in Iron X and Cooper ,Tiarrn and Tayla Halliday making our club proud in the Nutri-Grain.

It is very exciting heading in to State and then Aussies and if Sam and I can give one piece of advice, every point counts, all we ask at our club is to finish whatever you started, finish every race as hard as you can and the rest will look after itself.

Good luck to our Olympic and Para Olympic hopefuls, Alyssa Bull, Lani Pallister, Braedan and Nathan Jason, we are all with you, you will Always be the Gold and Black of Alex even when it has some green in it.

To our patrolling member’s thank you for your outstanding efforts and speaking of outstanding what a job the Crash Crew, and the Catering Queens lead by Sharon did for State Board Riding and Interstate Championships, thank you and bring on the business end of the season, GO ALEX!
