Lifesaving News

Saturday, 21 September, saw thousands of volunteer surf lifesavers from Forrest Beach down to Rainbow Bay raise the red and yellow flags for the start of SLSQ 2019 patrolling season.

Here at Alexandra Headland Surf Club, we welcomed new bronze medallion patrolling members and our U14 Nippers SRC award members. The continued efforts from all our volunteer lifesavers in keeping visitors to Alex beach safe is greatly appreciated. In the background it has been a busy few months leading up to the season start, with all committees and admin working hard behind the scenes together to get lifesaving services up and running at Alex. This season is again expected to be busy with, lifesaving and surf sports commitments both at home and away. I also urge all members to engage with our Summer Surf Ambassador Sonita throughout the course of the season. Sonita will be out and about spreading the ‘Red and Yellow Water Safety Message” and raising vital funds for Lifesaving Service.

Again, many thanks for your valued contribution to our great club

See you on the Beach
