Lifesavers at their Best

4 of our U17 boys competed at the Oceans 38 Surf Carnival at Tugun on the weekend. In the semi-final of the iron man race a fellow competitor from another Club broke his knee in the board leg and was screaming in pain. Ethan and Harrison stopped their race to help, signaling the IRB for assistance and kept him afloat even though it meant they would miss qualifying for the final.

After talking with the Carnival Referee, they then agreed to allow these 2 boys to compete in the final. Well done boys. You have shown great character and representation of the Alex SLSC.

We are very proud of you!
