Patrol Matters @ Alex

Welcome back all volunteer active patrolling surf life savers to season 2018-19.

Volunteer Surf Lifesaving season commences Saturday 22nd September 2018. Lifesaving committee has been working behind the scenes for the start of the season for the last couple of months.

  • Lex Heilbronn has IRB motors and hulls, serviced and patrol ready.

  • Chris Vorbach has gear and equipment restocked and repaired where required.

  • Jackie McGregor continues to motivate and support female participation within surf lifesaving.

  • Our new CTO Jess Baird has preparations for Skills Maintenance underway, with our Trainers and Assessors gaining proficiency now.

  • Dates for all SM sessions are on the website and expressions of interest for new courses are there also.

  • Final draft for patrol roster will be released to all members on 1st September, first two drafts have been reviewed by committee and patrol captains.

  • First patrol captains’ meeting has been set for Saturday 15th September.

  • PC meeting will take on a different format this season with an “in service” daytime practical session, agenda for this meeting will be released shortly.

Thank you for giving up your time at Alex as volunteer lifesavers for season 2018-19.
