Sunshine Coast family in need of assistance
A Sunshine Coast family of four - Mum Jodie was primary Carer to two children both with Autism and Dad Geoff was able to work despite himself being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Recently, Dad Geoff suffered a MS flare up and required some time off work.
Unfortunately yesterday Mum Jodie suffered a medical issue (still unknown) that caused her to pass out and fall and she has suffered a severe head injury. Initially Jodie was taken to Noosa Hospital but then air lifted to Royal Brisbane hospital where she remains on life support and Doctors estimate about 4-6 weeks for the brain bleed to heal and then a lengthy rehabilitation process for her down in Brisbane. This has left Father Geoff having to quit his job to take on the Caring role for their two children and also be mindful of his own health as stress can trigger an MS flare.
It will take a time for the appropriate payments to be claimed from Centrelink In the meantime we are seeking any financial help possible as the cost of travel to Brisbane as well as parking is going to add up quickly. Geoff also has a private carer for the two children but finances to help cover an increase in the level of care needed at this critical time would be helpful. Also the family are in need of general assistance with food and bills whilst the appropriate payments are sought through Centrelink.
This family is also involved in the Clubs Seahorse Nipper Program. If you would like to assist this family in need you can donate on their go fund me page: https://www.gofundme.com/support-sunshine-coast-mum-amp-her-family
