Bluebottles Out & About

Bluebottles have been out and about over the last few days across the sunshine coast. We have been getting plenty of inquires about whether it's safe to swim and what to do if you do get stung. Bluebottles are rarely life threatening but often leave a nasty sting. If you do get stung the treatment is hot warter (has hot as you can comfortably stand). You can also use ice if no hot water is available, ice also helps by numb the area. Of course we always recommend seeking assistance from the patrol on duty who are equipt to help you out.
