William Blackwell joined the Club in 1974 and gained his Bronze Medallion in 1976. He was Club Secretary from 1978 to 1984 and Club President from  1984 to 1988. He was also Club solicitor for seventeen years and was a member of the Sunshine Coast Helicopter Rescue Service.

 

He was awarded Life Membership of the Club in 1989 for his services.
