Stephen Thomson joined the Club as a nipper in 1989 and gained his Bronze Medallion in 1993. He went on to gain numerous awards and become a  Bronze Assessor and Training Officer. He was very actively involved in IRB and Wave Runner activities.

He has given considerable contribution as an active surf lifesaver and was awarded Life Membership of the Club in 2012.
