Nigel Dobell joined the Club as a junior member in 1980 after gaining his Bronze Medallion with the Mooloolaba SLSC. He became Vice Captain in 1986-87, was Ski Instructor for several years from 1984, a selector in 1986-87 and a member of the Club Judiciary for many years.

He was a very involved, active surf lifesaver with the Club and a competent competitor. He was a State Championship Gold Medal recipient in IRB competition for three years and won Australian Championship medals in 1983 and 1988.

 

He was awarded Life Membership in 2007 for his service to the Club.
