Glen Garrick joined the Club in 1986 having gained his Bronze Medallion with the Coolum SLSC in 1981. He became President of the Club from 2000 to 2008 and was a member of the SLSQ Board of Directors during 2004-05. He was a helicopter rescue crewman with the Sunshine Coast Helicopter Rescue Service from 1984 to 1987. Glen was also the Honourary Solicitor and Insurance Officer 1991 to 1995 and held positions of Committee Member, Secretary and Treasurer of the Alex Supporters Club from 2000 until 2008.

 

Glen has been an outstanding, active surf lifesaver and was awarded Life Membership in 2007 for his exceptional services to the Club.
