Terence McLardy gained his Bronze Medallion in 1961 and became one of the most dedicated surf life savers and outstanding competitors in the history of the Club. He won numerous gold, silver and bronze medals at Branch, State and Australian Championships.


He held the position of Club Captain on several separate occasions between 1965 and 1977. He was also Chief Instructor of the Club for a total of six years during the period from 1972 until 1982.


He was awarded Life Membership in 1977 for his services.
